In the final two minutes, the Redhawks rallied to score nine points and tie the game, culminating with a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. With little over two minutes remaining, Jahnke dropped a layup and gave the Trojans their biggest lead of the game at 52-43. The Redhawks pushed back with a couple of free throws and a jumper but a 3-pointer by Da'Naria Washington kept the lead by seven points. Starting the fourth quarter in the lead, the Trojans added to the scoreline after a layup by Alina Jahnke and a 3-pointer by Taylor Hibicke increasing their lead to 45-37. In the next four minutes, the score broke even again twice before Trinity went on a 6-0 run to close out the quarter. Daniela Lopez closed the second quarter with a layup, leaving the Trojans behind on the scoreboard, 27-25.Īfter the break, the Trojans tied up the score 27-27 and the Redhawks countered with a 3-pointer to take the lead again. A foul by IUN put Louisa Schmidt at the line and she dropped both free throws to close the gap 25-22. The following five minutes saw the two teams swapping layups before a lull in scoring with around three minutes remaining. The Redhawks opened the second quarter with consecutive layups before Hibicke landed a jumper bringing the score to 16-19. ![]() As the buzzer sounded, Taylor Hibicke hit a layup to end the quarter behind by a single point. With a minute remaining, the Redhawks dropped a 3-pointer to tie the game and another three points after that to pass the Trojans. In the first five minutes of the game, Trinity and IUN traded baskets before the Trojans scored two back to back and took the lead 10-6. An extremely tight first half and a breakaway quarter for each team in the second half forced the game into overtime where the Redhawks took over and handed the Trojans defeat, 71-61. Yesterday evening the Trojans were back on the road as they traveled to Indiana to tip off against the Redhawks of Indiana University Northwest.
